The Restaurant
From the terrace with a view of the sea and the pool, start your day with an unlimited full breakfast from 8:00 to 10:30. The mini crêpes are the Pirate's speciality, as well as fruit juice, warm drinks, pastries, cooked pork meats, yoghurt, and more. During the high season, they serve a salad and snack menu between 12:00 and 16:00.

On your GPS, follow the Corniche André de Joly to Nice, then take the Boulevard de la Corne d'or to Villefranche (From the port of Nice, do not follow the road signs to Villefranche)
If you're coming by bus from the airport: From the airport, take the 98 until the "Port de Nice" stop, then take either the 14 or 82 to the "Col de Villefranche" stop; From the Nice train station: Take the 14 or 82 toward Col de Villefranche.

Le Fort du Mont Alban, near Nice
This 16th century hilltop fort was built in 1557 and is almost perfectly preserved, it looks out over the coastline of the French Riviera all the way to the Italian border. Mont Alban is located in the east of Nice in the Mont Boron National Park area, with Nice on one side and Villefranche-sur-Mer on the other - you can hike up to the fort from either town. The castle was built on the orders of the Duke of Savoy in response to the siege of Nice; when you get up there you’ll understand why he chose this spot - the view in all directions couldn’t be any better.
