Located on Place Saint François, famous for its fish market, this restaurant follows the tradition of Parisian brasseries, offering a typical French menu.

Enjoy tea with lemon and basil macarons in the afternoon in one of their two light and airy dining rooms or on their terrace. For lunch and dinner, their menu changes throughout the year, featuring mainly Niçoise and Corsican specialities with lots of fish and seafood.

Open every day from 12:00 to 14:30 for lunch, and dinner from 19:00 to 23:00.

Located in the beautiful Place Rossetti, this family-run ice cream parlour was founded in 1966. Most visitors to Nice grab their ice cream and eat it on the square, while enjoying the views of the Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate's beautiful facade and the traditional Niçoise buildings that surround it.

They offer 94 flavours, 59 ice creams and 35 sorbets, ranging from classics such as chocolate, yoghourt or vanilla, to exciting innovations inspired by Provençal essences, such as thyme, lavender, violet, rose and even tomato & basil.

They have a second shop on rue de la Poissoneire 6, near Cours Saleya.

Open from 09:00 to midnight.

Cafe Du Cycliste is open Monday to Friday from 6:30 to 20:00; Saturday from 7:00 to 20:00 and Sunday from 7:00 to 14:00.

From March until the end of October the restaurant proposes refined Mediterranean cooking, with Niçois dishes like the pissaladière (onion pizza) and also delicious Asian dishes, from Thai to Chinese and Japanese favourites, as well as some Italian delicacies.

Every day there is a new dish created by the chef with fresh products from the market. Soups, sandwiches, healthy smoothies and bowls and delicious falafel are also available.

Open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch only.

Located just by the town hall, this is a typical French village cafe, perfect for a light tasty lunch or just to have a coffee on the terrace and watch the locals play a game of boules.

They serve salads, bruschettas, sandwiches, and daily hot specials (normally twice a week, but every day in July and August), as well as delicious desserts. Country home-style cuisine made with fresh produce. Frequented by locals, they offer good quality and good value for a lunch stop on the Train des Pignes.

Closed on Wednesdays except in July and August.

The chef, Stéphane Marie, prepares a cuisine made with seasonal produce, blending regional products with exotic ingredients, accompanied by your choice from the restaurant's personally selected wine list.

If you're looking for something earlier in the day, their tea salon offers light meals and snacks.

Open every day for lunch (12:00 to 15:00) and dinner (19:30 to 22:00). The tea room is open from 15:00 to 18:00.

Run by two sisters who offer organic, healthy food and are delighting regulars in this charming coffee shop behind the Cours Saleya.

The menu changes daily depending on seasonal produce and what's in the kitchen, for example the menu main includes hot soup with courgette, parsnips and mint, served with goat cheese toast; tian chard with brown rice and greens; rhubarb meringue pie and lavender honey from Aubagne.
