Fenocchio Cafe, Vieux Nice

The most famous ice cream parlour in the centre of Nice

featured in Cafes & delis Updated

Located in the beautiful Place Rossetti, this family-run ice cream parlour was founded in 1966. Most visitors to Nice grab their ice cream and eat it on the square, while enjoying the views of the Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate's beautiful facade and the traditional Niçoise buildings that surround it.

They offer 94 flavours, 59 ice creams and 35 sorbets, ranging from classics such as chocolate, yoghourt or vanilla, to exciting innovations inspired by Provençal essences, such as thyme, lavender, violet, rose and even tomato & basil.

They have a second shop on rue de la Poissoneire 6, near Cours Saleya.

Open from 09:00 to midnight.

  • "I've been in nice for 10 days now, and Not a day passed without eating this best ice cream in the world! All flavours are good. If you're an "acid" flavour fanatic you should try the fruits de la passion flavor. However, my favourites are watermelon and Ferrero Rocher... Flavours to die of! The almonds, pistachio and "noix" are good too. There are more than 100 flavours and one's can't get enough! The place is so amazing it has 3 locations in nice and all of them are always full. I recommend this place." - Trip Advisor
  • "This is one place you can't skip on your trip to Nice. Sure, all the "normal" flavours are great, but be bold! Try the tomato basil, or the beer flavours! Nutella was a family favourite. Try them all!" - Trip Advisor
  • "This is the best place to have ice cream in Nice and even the locals recommend it! You must must must try it! It's made from all natural fruits or flowers or ingredients! They even have lavender and rose ice team which was so delicious!" - Trip Advisor
