This pedestrian square in Vieux Nice is incredibly pretty; the buildings which surround it are deep red and yellow, restaurants spill out onto the square and it has the Baroque Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate on its western side.

Place Rossetti is one of the loveliest and liveliest squares in Nice, both day and night. With a few cafés, ice cream shops and restaurants to choose from it is busy all day long with people who come to soak up the atmosphere as much as anything else.

Surrounding the fountain in the centre of the square is a good selection of restaurants; it might be a tourist hotspot but Place Rossetti has plenty of ambience and traditional Niçoise character. Stop for a coffee at Café Antonia. Choose from over 90 flavours of ice cream and sorbet at Fenocchio, one of the biggest and best “glaciers” in the town.

At night the square is a popular hangout for street musicians and has a bustling vibe with lots of good nightlife nearby in the streets of Vieux Nice. Two of Nice’s most popular gay bars, Bar Bitch and Bar Butch, have set up residence on the square making it even more cosmopolitan than ever!
