Riviera's first garden festival in 2017
Brand new festival for nature lovers to be hosted in Spring 2017
The Department of the Alpes-Maritimes is celebrating the Mediterranean climate and the plants that enjoy it in a special Festival des Jardins in spring 2017.
The very first Festival des Jardins (Festival of Gardens) will include a competition for garden creation as well as many local activities and family entertainment.
Temporary gardens will be spread over five towns: Grasse, Cannes, Antibes, Nice and Menton, and landscape professionals will be competing to produce the very best garden under the theme of 'Awakening the Senses'.
Outside of the competition the month of April will see many activities and garden events all the Cote d'Azur with gardening techniques, culinary events, exhibitions and open gardens. The event itself will be free of charge, although some of the activities may incur a cost.
