Classical violinist opens C'est Pas Classique 2017 festival

Internationally renowned for his enigmatic and flamboyant style, Nigel Kennedy first shot to fame with his recording of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons with the English Chamber Orchestra in 1989. It sold over two million copies and earned a place as one of the best-selling classical recordings ever.

Now bringing classical music to the masses, Kennedy is one of the main names behind the upcoming 13th edition of the C'est Pas Classique 2017 music festival that will be hosted in the Acropolis in the heart of Nice. Over three days the festival will include around 50 concerts and many talented classical musicians, both local and International. All concerts are free and open to members of the public, bringing classical music to a wider audience.

Highlights from this year's festival will include the opening concert on Friday, 10th November with Nigel Kennedy, Camille and Julie Berthollet on Saturday 11th November afternoon and a tribute to the artist Prince by the Cannes Regional Orchestra on Saturday evening.
