In a bid to keep the beautiful coastline and towns of the French Riviera clean, local authorities have implemented new measures to stop pollution.
Having already invested tens of millions of euros, public authorities are now taking it one step further and plan to introduce on the spot fines for people littering and polluting this stunning region.
Our stereotypical view of France and the French people on the glorious Cote d'Azur is that of a glamorous individual, smoking an elegant cigarette with a small yet beautifully kept pooch by their side, as sports car speed past, tops down... But the reality if this can be something quite different, cigarette butts on the ground, dodging dog pooh and exhaust fumes from noisy exhaust pipes.
Now on the spot fines will be implemented for dropping your cigarette butts, not picking up dog muck and even motorists with a noisy exhaust pipe!
