The month of September kicks off with a celebration of all things bio and well-being. Showcasing a great line-up of artists the Dime On Fest will be hosted on Friday 2nd September. In the exceptional setting of the Théâtre de Verdure in Nice, this event brings together artists from various forms of music to play at the same concert. Following the events of 14th July 2016, all profits will be donated this year to the Foundation of France to help the victims of Nice.
The busy first weekend of September also sees athletes take on the incredible endurance race, Ultra Trail Cote d'Azur Mercantour. The main course runs from the Baie des Anges in Nice to Saint-Martin Vésubie, through some emblematic summits like the Mont Chauve, or the 2647m Pépoiri. It's a long run for these athletes so be sure to cheer them on!
Across France the end of September brings with it the annual European Heritage Days. Exceptional locations around France, including Antibes, will be open to visit on the Journées du Patrimoine. Museums, churches, and galleries all open their doors to the public for a weekend of celebration and the event has become increasingly popular over the years.
Friday nights in Cagnes sur Mer will continue to host their summer season of jazz concerts throughout September. Jazz au Chateau offers an atmospheric venue for jazz trios, vocalists, and gypsy swing bands. Free to attend and a shuttle bus to take you there from the central station at Cagnes...how can you say no?
The months comes to a close with the Riviera Classic Motor Show. If you love classic and vintage cars then this is one show not to be missed. An auction with most of 60 vehicles will take place on Saturday afternoon, organised by a renowned auction house - a must for French and international buyers.
