Big Names at the Nice Jazz Festival 2015

Always a popular event, the 2015 Nice Jazz Festival will be no exception and organisers have pulled out all the stops to ensure that the crowds will not be disappointed.

Pianist and singer Jamie Cullen will be the patron of this 67th edition of the festival and he will be the closing act of the first evening on the Massena stage.

“The Nice Jazz Festival is now part of the history of jazz itself – along with the musicians themselves it is now a legend in its own right and has woven itself into the fabric of the music,” said Jamie Cullum. “It is the perfect festival…If I wasn’t playing, I would be going.”

Other confirmed acts include Asaf Avidan, Yael Naim, Cassandra Wilson, Kellylee Evans, Kurt Elling, plus the legendary Lauryn Hill, Cerrone and Kool and The Gang, and The Roots, which will be their only French date this year.

All these amazing artists in just one week of concerts from the 7th to the 12th July, and the best announcement this year was that the price for the concerts will not be going up. You can still see six fantastic concerts in one evening for just €35! I'm off to book my ticket now!

You will not be short of entertainment in this beautiful French Riviera town throughout the year. The most popular public events take place along the Promenade des Anglais, including the Carnival in February, the Bastille celebrations in July and the Nice marathon in November. There are also plenty of live music and cultural festivals.
