Claux Amic Golf Course, Grasse

17th century hunting estate offering a technical 18-hole golf course

featured in Golf Updated

This golf course is located on a charming old private hunting estate dating back to the 17th century.

The walled site has fairways through oak, pine and broom forests and offers superb views over the bay of Cannes, the Lerins Islands and the Esterel Massif.

This 18-hole is hilly and quite technical. Players will have to share tactics and use precision rather than just have driving power. The club has an area for training with a driving range and two putting greens.

The clubhouse has a pro shop, restaurant, bar and locker room. You can hire the services of a caddy or teaching pro, if you wish.

The neighbourhood

The golf course is just a 15 minute drive from the charming town of Grasse, famous for its perfumeries. The surrounding countryside is very beautiful and offers lots of possibilities for hiking, bike riding and other activities. There are a number of food and wine tours that you can do in the area.

The Restaurant

Open daily from 8am to 7pm, the restaurant serves traditional dishes made from fresh local produce. You can dine à la carte, or choose the daily two-course lunch menu for around 15€. The restaurant has a sunny terrace with views of the forest and golf course.

Directions

The golf course is just 8km north-west of Grasse, and 25km from the Riviera town of Cannes.
