For the first time ever the Tour has started in Italy and will finish in Nice to avoid the 2024 Olympic Games prep in Paris. Therefore, stages 20 and 21 of the 2024 Tour de France will begin and end in Nice.

Saturday 20 July will see a short distance day, but don't think this will make it any easier for the Paris-Nice regulars. The early climb could see fierce competition on the way up to Col de Braus, with the climbs of the Cols de Turini, de la Comaiane and finally de la Couillole offering little respite. The final ascent is steeped in Tour de France history, high in the French Alps this mountain road is surrounded by rocky areas and green meadows. Riders will cover 15.7km with an average gradient of 7.1% on this final climb alone.

Sunday 21 July is a time trial of only 33.7km. Will we witness a battle of speed that may determine the podium? Starting in Monaco the riders will travel through La Turbie, Col d'Eze, and down to Villefranche-Sur-Mer before rolling into Nice. Get yourself a spot on the Promenade des Anglais to find out who finishes first.
