Wine has been made at Chateau de Berne since 1750, and many of its current vintages have won awards.
Situated close to Les Arcs in the Var, the appellation covers 18,000 hectares and uses both new and old vines to produce both complex & delicate wines, with a selection of younger fruitier wines.
Today, 21 Cistercian monks live on the island continuing the monastic tradition and live modestly whilst undertaking the production of wine and spirits.
Chateau de Bellet is one of Nice’s finest wine producer, manufacturers of a wine called Vin de Bellet (AOC certified since 1941). Nice is not known for its wines, but these are certainly noteworthy.
Located right in the middle of Provence, between Lorgues and Draguignan, Château Roubine is one of the oldest wine estates of France. Spread on 320 acres, with 178 acres of vines, the estate produces a range of red, white & rose wine, from young & fresh to older more complex vintages.

The Château du Rouët is situated at the foot of the red rocks mountains of the Estérel mountain- range.
Their two estates lie about two miles apart but all their wines are made in Fontlade. Thus, the Côtes de Provence comes from a plot which stands at the westernmost border of the appellation.
