Very sophisticated with live jazz, the Bar du Negresco of the iconic Negresco Hotel is the perfect place to soak up the history and glamour in the plush velvet and walnut surroundings.
Originally set up by Russian jazz musician Dimitri Shapko, this venue plays host to local and international jazz, soul and R&B.
The decor has sharpened up, the upper floor has taken on a new lease of life and the music stage has moved to become more visible to more of the bar. The same great vibe and fantastic music line up continues though, with live concerts most nights of the week.
The emphasis is on jazz, although there’s a fair smattering of funk, soul and blues thrown in to keep you on your toes - their weekly schedule can be found on their website. Drinks prices are reasonable, the ambience is relaxed and the staff are very welcoming.

Latino jazz and salsa in this bar restaurant, starting from 9.30 pm Tuesday to Saturday. Cuban tropical décor, cocktails and Cuban food.

Ma Nolan’s, Nice Port is designed to be a warm, welcoming and atmospheric venue, the perfect place to eat, drink and party.
The atmosphere is always buzzing, generated by the friendly staff, excellent beer and food, live music in the evenings and a genuinely warm welcome to all, which is typically, essentially Irish.
Ma Nolan’s now has three thriving pubs, a formidable reputation and a strong crowd of regular customers as well as a huge influx of tourists in the summer months. Both Nice bars (Vieux Nice & Nice Port) and now Ma Nolan's Cannes, have the design and decor that give the bars a typically Irish feel with wooden flooring and high bar counters. Wide screen TV’s project all the events on the sports calendar, food is served all day and live music plays every night.
The wine cellar specialises in rare wines and old vintages while the restaurant sits 45 people.

With a Gothic interior mixed with wall frescoes and a friendly atmosphere, this is one of Nice's nicest drinking spots.
There are tables outside for sunset drinks and a welcoming feel that means you're bound to end up staying longer than you'd planned.

An intimate pub with open mic and acoustic nights, a good atmosphere and happy hours!
As the name suggests this is a small, cosy venue where you can find both tourists and locals enjoying a fine selection of beers and wines. In the winter they serve up some delicious home made mulled wine, perfect for a chilly day by the sea!
Open Monday to Sunday from 12:00 noon until 00:30. Happy hour is everyday from 20:00 until 22:00.
Right on the corner of the Place du Palais de Justice is a little cluster of bars, our favourite of which is Master Home.
Admittedly, the name is a bit odd, not sure what they were aiming for with that one, but the ambience is chilled and sophisticated. Grab an outside table early evening for some live music and a glass of one of their very good house wines - always served with a platter of tasty snacks.
Later on in the evening it becomes a bit more cocktail/nightclub kind of vibe which can be hit or miss, our recommendation is to go there post-beach or pre-dinner when it’s at its liveliest.
They have a team room, a good selection of cocktails, board games and offer a selection of snacking plates if you feel a bit pekish.

A vibrant pub in the heart of Nice's busy quarter, the Old Town. Popular with locals and tourists alike but especially the International crowd.
This place serves good American food if you're looking for a change from regional cuisine and has regular live music sets, with DJs afterwards.
It also has big screens if you want to watch sports.
