1. Alziari

If you're looking for olive oil, this is the place to come. Nicolas Alziari has been making oils since 1868 and they've an oil for every occasion.

Go for one of their classic tins which look fantastic on any kitchen shelf. They also have a deli range of vinegars, herbs, jams and honey.

  • Open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:30 & 14:00 to 18:00

2. Polygon Riviera Shopping Centre, Cagnes sur Mer

With nearly 150 stores, a 10-screen multiplex, casino, exclusive services and its unique leisure offer, Polygon Riviera offers the largest shopping centre on the Cote d'Azur.

More than a shopping centre, it also offers an open-air art gallery with sculptures that line the pretty boulevards of the centre. Featuring international retailers, prestigious brands, flagship stores and all the essentials for a good family shopping experience.

3. Nice Etoile

This is Nice's main shopping centre, housing over 100 stores and open seven days a week.

Whether you're looking for clothes, electronics, gifts, music or books, this is the place to come for it all.

It has the standard handful of restaurants too, which can sustain your shopping for an extra few hours.

4. Maison Auer

Location
Nice

This famous chocolatier has been making wonderful sweet treats since its opening in 1820.

Recipes have been handed down through generations from the Swiss, Henri Auer, to Thierry and Evelyne who hold the reins today.

If you can't carry some home with you, there's always their online store.

  • Open from Wednesday to Saturday from 9:00 to 18:00

5. Cave Bianchi

Nice

One of the region's oldest wine cellars, whose doors have been open since 1860.

Pop in here for some friendly advice and an extensive selection of French and international wines, aperitifs and olive oil.

The cellar also offers wine tasting courses and a wine pairing menu.

  • Open daily from 9.30 to 19:30
  • Open until 22:30 on Friday and Saturday

6. Confiserie Florian

The Florian sweet factories are located in the Côte d’Azur, one of the most beautiful parts of France. Using delicious local fruits and flowers they create some of the best sweets in town.

If you happen to be in Tourrettes-sur-Loup, they offer a free tour of their factory.

This old town cave has been open for nearly a century and is emblematic of the city's traditional charm.

They've wines ranging from the cheap vin du pays through to select vintages from the best French vineyards.
