The first section of the new T2 line, which runs from Cadam to Magnan via Grand Arénas, Parc Phoenix and the seafront, will officially open on 30th June. It will be free for all users from 1st July to 2nd September.

The T2, or the West-East line, will link the centre of Nice with the airport in December this year and will be complete, reaching Port Lympia, in September 2019. With over 11 kilometres and 20 stops, this new tram line will connect the main hotspots in the city, from the airport to the port, in just 26 minutes, and will even travel underground through the old town.

To celebrate the opening of the first section of the line, all trips aboard the tram will be free from 1st July to 2nd September. From 3rd September onwards, tickets will cost the same as on T1, €1.50 for a single trip and €10 for 10 trips. There will be a third line, T3, that will travel between the airport and Saint-Isidore, north of Nice, and will open at the end of 2019.
