The Tour de France will depart from Nice on June 27th, 2020. This is the second time the largest city in the French Riviera hosts the departure of the famous cycling race, an honour it also enjoyed in 1981.

Nice has been part of the Tour de France's route around the country several times. The last one was in 2013, with a Team Time Trial won by Orica-Greenedge lead by Simon Gerrans, who wore the yellow jersey on the podium that day.

The city has a long history of hosting cycling races. Probably the most famous one is the Paris-Nice, which ended yesterday on the Promenade des Anglais where the Spanish Marc Soler, of Team Movistar, was crowned victor.

See you in Nice on June 27th, 2020! In the meantime, check out this year's route.
