Nice Jazz Festival line-up 2017

Herbie Hancock & Mary J Blige will take to the stage

The city of Nice has announced that the American musician Herbie Hancock will be the patron of the 2017 Nice Jazz Festival.

The line up in 2017 will include some of the biggest names in international jazz, who will be performing alongside the legendary performer, Hancock. After the cancellation of the event in 2016 following the tragic attack on the Promenade des Anglais, the 2017 edition will be even more poignant and the stars of the jazz world have turned out in force to show their support to France and the city of Nice.

Another American great to take to the stage will May J Blige, singer, songwriter, model, record producer and actress. This talented woman is also known as the Queen of Hip Hop Soul and has received numerous notable awards and achievements. She is the only artist to have won Grammys in the fields of R&B, hip hop, pop and gospel.

Other acts to have been confirmed for the Nice Jazz Festival in July are Chinese Man, Laura Mvula, Ibrahim Maalouf, Becca Stevens Band, The Legendary Johnny O'Neal Trio and De la Soul.
