It's been a good summer in the French Riviera. Accommodation occupancy rates reached an impressive 87% in August, with July not far behind with an average occupancy of 80%. 63% of these were international visitors.

These foreign tourists come from all around the world but there's been a rise in American arrivals which were up 20%, while 35% more people from the Middle East chose to visit the French Riviera, we saw 30% more Japanese holidaymakers and 13% more Brits came to Nice.

The peak was reached in August, with the weekend of the 15th receiving the whopping number of 700,000 tourists in the Cote d'Azur. September and October will also see good results, with an average 2% increase in the accommodation occupancy rate.

We're not surprised by these numbers. Nice is the perfect place for a summer holiday with its paradisiacal beaches, top-class hotels, gourmet restaurants, glamorous beach clubs and relaxed pace of life. Why not start booking your Nice holiday for next summer now?
