Plage de l'Ange Gardien Beach, Villefranche-sur-Mer

A less crowded beach popular with families and older people

Categorised in:

At the far end of the long stretch of beach at Villefranche is a small sheltered bay with the charming name of Plage de l'Ange Gardien.

Although not much further to walk it always seems to be less crowded and more peaceful; it is mostly popular with families and retired folk.

There is a shower here and the facilities of Plage des Mariniers are only a short walk away; you can find toilets, snacks and drinks very easily. Part of this beach is a designated dog-friendly zone.

The easiest way to get to Plade de l’Ange Guardien is to take the 81 or 100 bus and get off at the stop called Ange Guardien, follow the staircase that leads straight down to the beach. Alternatively you can take the train to Villefranche and walk a bit further part the Plage des Mariniers.
